How To Litter Train Your Bunny in 4 easy steps

Litter training? You can actually litter train a rabbit? The answer is yes. Not only can rabbits be litter trained, if they are constantly trained, they can never leave a dropping on the floor! (Warning, it might take a long time to get to that standard ! But, it’s not impossible) In fact, for a while, my own two rabbits, Tippy and Susie, where that perfect! It was very hard to get them there, though! However, not all rabbits are going to respond as quickly to litter training as as my own two bunnies did. So today, I am going to be sharing with you how to litter train your rabbit in 4 easy steps. (Note, I cannot estimate how long your bunny may take to learn, as every bunny is different).  1. Litter boxes I recommend finding a large, cat litter box for your rabbit, preferably big enough for two rabbits. See, rabbits like to move about in their litter trays, so you will probably find a litter tray for the size of one rabbit too small!  2. Put in the poop Whenever your ra...

Indoors vs Outdoors ( how to keep your bun inside without the stress)

Indoors vs outdoors is a popular question many rabbit owners ask. While many will recommend keeping your rabbit outdoors, there are many reasons why  indoors should be considered as an option as well. Some people do not like rabbits to be inside the house because they are afraid the rabbit will smell, others because they fear it is not hygienic, but the fact is rabbits are even more clean and hygienic than cats or dogs. Also, rabbits are naturally clean animals, which means you will probably see your rabbit grooming itself three to four times a day. Even more than humans! But still, they shed, they pee and they poop, which to inexperienced rabbit owners can seem like a hopeless case. Which is why in today’s blog I am going to be talking to you about how to keep the pee, poop and fur under control Litter boxes Yes, it’s true! Rabbits can be litter trained to the same standard as cats, which is great because it means all that pee and poop strewn over the floor will be contained. As m...

Play Pens Vs Hutches (Does it matter?)

Rabbits are just about the most wonderful pets you could keep. However, like any other pet, they do come with their certain standard of care which is important to maintain in order to keep them in good health. Which is why  in today’s blog I would like to talk to you about correct bunny housing. many new rabbit owners make the innocent mistake  of spending lots of money on fancy hutches. Unfortunately, these hutches, though pretty and enticing as they seem to us, will actually do more harm than good to your bunny for the following reasons: 1. It is too small for your bunny. If rabbits do not have enough room to hop around, they become obese and cramped. (Think about it. If you had no room to exercise, you would become unfit and cramped too!) 2. There is not enough room for your rabbit to stretch to their full height. This is a really serious one, as it can lead to spinal issues. I mean, image always having to sit in a chair and never being able to stand up!...Awful, rig...
